Barham Family Farm Habanero Jack and Mushroom Burger
May is National Beef Month! Enjoy this mushroom burger with a spicy cheese sauce and spicy mustard.

Makes 4 servings

1/2 tablespoon olive oil

2 large portobello mushroom caps, sliced


1 teaspoon parsley, chopped

1 (4- 1/4-pound patties) package Barham Family Farm Ground Beef Patties

1 cup shredded habanero jack cheese

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Salsa verde

Hot mustard, such as Helga's

Sesame seed brioche buns

In a skillet over medium high, heat the oil and add the mushrooms and begin to saute until mushrooms begin to give up their juices. Add salt and continue to cook to desired doneness. Stir parsley into mushroom and keep warm.

Grill burgers over medium heat to desired doneness.

In a small saucepan, heat whipped cream to a gentle simmer and stir in cheese, continuing to stir until it thickens enough to spread as a condiment on the burger.

Build the burger: Place lettuce on bottom bun. Place burger patty on lettuce and garnish with cheese sauce, mushrooms and salsa. Spread mustard on remaining bun and place on top. Enjoy!
